Sexology 101 - Sex & Age

Yeah, I know, nobody wants to talk about the picture . . .

Come on, wouldn't it be terrifying to think that once your hair grays and your boobs sag that sex is out the window for you! But all in all, there isn't much research on older people and sex, and because of that, older people (eventually us in a few years) will have to suffer because of it. If you ever think about it, we have Sex Education as pre-teens to better prepare us for our bodily changes that we incur as adolescences - because of that we understand our body, become less embarrassed about it, and more open to discuss it, and eventually learn more about ourselves. Now when we get pass the over-the-hill stages, our bodies begin to change again, but this time there's no Sex Education for older people and when these changes occur, they become embarassed, unsure of themselves, and as a result they don't talk about the changes that happen and just leave it in the closet. Because of this, many doctors just assume that older people don't have sex so they oftentimes give them medication without thinking twice about it affecting their sex drive, nor do they warn older people about it having an impact on their sex drive. So when older people start to mention sex, don't be so quick to "EWW" it out of converstation, let them talk, how else are they going to learn? Don't you want to keep having sex well into your 60s, 70s, and 80s?
